Daniel Shadbolt (born 1980) is from Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire, just north of London in the UK. He moved to London to study painting at the Chelsea College of Art and Design (2000-3). Following his degree in Fine Art he completed The Drawing Year at The Royal Drawing School (2003-4). He has exhibited widely in the UK and has pictures in many private collections.
He has taught painting at The Heatherley School of Fine Art since 2008 and became an elected member of The New English Art Club in 2015. His book on ‘Painting and Drawing the Head’ was published by The Crowood Press in 2016.
In September 2025, he held an ‘Open Studio Exhibition’ along with Jessica Biggs, at the Regent’s Park Gallery in Primrose Hill, North London. He will be exhibiting in a group exhibition later in the year at David Simon Contemporary. Follow on Instagram -
